Description

Lactic acid peel, lactobionic acid facial peel derma hydrating treatment – This chemical peel consisting of a blend of components with hygroscopic properties: it attracts water molecules towards the surface of the skin layer, stimulating at the same time the synthesis of ceramides (lipid molecules with structural and cellular functions regulation).

Composition

• Lactic acid facial peel is an organic acid derived from milk, belonging to the family of afahydroxy acids; it is able to break the bonds that are created between keratinocytes (by removing them) and thus promoting a faster and more delicate cell renewal (turn-over) than glycolic acid. It stimulates the synthesis of new collagen and elastin fibers (neocollagenesis and neoelastogenesis). Its fundamental property is that of being a caustic with marked hygroscopic abilities that is able to attract water molecules to itself up to the most superficial layers of the skin, making it visibly brighter and more compact;
• Ferulic acid is obtained from rice, oats and wheat where it is present in the cell walls (also in coffee and amaranth). It is an excellent antioxidant (indicated for oxidative stress), able to exfoliate and prevent cell damage (treatment of fine wrinkles) by stimulating the production of collagen. It is also an excellent depigmenter;
• Citric acid is present mainly in citrus fruits and is able to regulate skin pH and sebum production. With antioxidant effect;
• Malic acid, mainly extracted from apples, is also an intermediate in the carbohydrate-to-energy conversion chain. It has brightening, smoothing, moisturizing and collagen stimulating properties;
• Lactobionic acid peel is an alpha hydroxy acid (polyhydroxy acid) formed by a molecule of gluconic acid and galactose (obtained from the oxidation of lactose). It is a valid illuminating, smoothing, moisturizing and antioxidant. It inhibits the metalloproteases that are formed as a result of photoexposure, allowing the associated damage to be countered. Promotes cell turnover and also an excellent lightening;
• Thioctic acid, with strong antioxidant properties, prevents damage induced by free radicals.
