Course Overview

This Course qualifies the learner as a facial and eye expert, Fenice Academy educators will supply the learner with the necessary skills and knowledge to be proficient in preparing and providing a wide range of treatments. To have the knowledge and expertise in preparation and selection of the correct products and equipment to carry out the suitable facial skincare and eye treatments and develop the skills to com-municate and behave in a professional manner following health and safety work practices. This course will prepare the learner for a work in environment

Content – Theory and Practical

Anatomy and Physiology: Study of the cells tissues and the main systems as they affect the face, hand and arm and the leg and foot: muscular, vascular, skeletal, digestive, respiratory, lymphatic, excretory, nervous, endocrine and repro-ductive, as they relate to the work of the beauty therapist.

Skin:

• Detailed study of the skin and its appendages
• Skin Analysis
• Skin disorders
• Contraindications to salon or home treatments
• Disorders of the eyes and eyelid

Facial Massage:

• Excluding any type of medical treatment
• Theory and effects of massage
• Contraindications to massage

Masks:

• Theory of masks
• Choice and use of preparations
• Specialised facial treatments

Eye Treatments:

• Eyebrow shaping
• Eyelash and eyebrow tinting
• Contraindications to eyelash tinting Eyelash perming
